  • Overview

    As a Data Analyst, the successful candidate will be an important member of a highly collaborative team in our Intake Department. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, the Data Analyst ensures the accuracy of organizational reporting and analysis by reviewing, preparing and validating data, and utilizing data mining and profiling techniques to assist in discovering client patterns and trends; supports user requests by creating, generating, and distributing custom data reports.

    Responsibilities

    • Gather and compile data from multiple sources and input into business intelligence (BI) software application; conduct data cleansing, mapping, formatting, and other related functions; review and validate data for accuracy.
    • Conduct data modeling and profiling to identify patterns and trends.
    • Create business intelligence dashboards, visualizations, and analytical reports using BI software.
    • Create and maintain accurate account contact records; receive, review, and approve change requests; create and maintain hierarchal relationships within customer databases for reporting purposes.
    • Generate ad-hoc data reports, queries, and analysis based on user requests.
    • Analyze case awards; monitor and review data for quality assurance and reporting purposes.
    • Assist customer intake team with the input of cases and answering customer inquiries.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business management, information systems, or related discipline; and 2-3 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year utilizing SQL in Oracle, SQL Server or My SQL; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

     

    Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers, arbitrators, mediators or employees of the organization.

     

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to understand and interpret statistical reports, data charts and graphs.

     

    Technology Requirements: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, and Word; advances knowledge of MS Excel, specifically formulas including VLookups, data analysis techniques, charts, and pivot tables; experience using intelligence software such as Tableau; working knowledge of relational databases and data structures; familiarity with analytics software such as R, Python, SAS, or WEKA.
