  • Overview

    The American Arbitration Association (AAA) is seeking an Administrative Assistant in our Fresno Case Management Center (CMC) to fulfill a Part-Time role. You will be relied on to remotely provide administrative and clerical support to 2 executives in our San Diego Regional Office. The role includes assisting with the administration of arbitration cases, handling confidential information, and working on special projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Receives calls, responds to routine inquiries, ensures efficient flow of correspondence to the appropriate individuals, offices, or shared services group.
    • Assists with project management and coordination tasks as directed by the SVP/Executive Director of Mediation Services.
    • Follows-up on inquiries from users and members of AAAMediation.org.
    • Assists with education/program support focused on alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
    • Conducts research on promoting mediation programs.
    • Maintains electronic case records and files.
    • Prepares communications for parties and neutrals.
    • Provides administrative support on arbitration and mediation cases.
    • Assists in pre-screening applications of arbitrators and mediators who seek to be on the AAA’s panel.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will be a reliable and detail-oriented individual who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, thoroughness, client service, and communications skills.

    Education & Experience: Associate’s degree in business or related discipline; and 2 years of related work experience (e.g. comprehensive customer service or case administration in a law or judicial corporate environment); or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

    Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; basic proficiency with web-based case management systems.
